Physiotherapy

At Penn Hall School the physiotherapists are part of an NHS Community Team from The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals Trust, based at the Gem Centre. The team includes several qualified and assistant staff. Members of the team are available every day to support the children’s Physiotherapy needs.

If a child has any physiotherapy needs they will be assigned to a physiotherapist who will carry out an assessment and then set up relevant programmes and organise appropriate equipment

Children’s physiotherapists are experts in the assessment and treatment of paediatric conditions and they have attended postgraduate training courses in specific areas of interest within this field. Physiotherapists also work closely with consultants, occupational therapists, nurses, speech and language therapists, wheelchair services and many other medical professionals.

Physiotherapists can be contacted at Penn Hall School or at the Gem Centre and are always happy to offer advice and assistance where appropriate.
