Penn Hall School - Ofsted Report
In March 2003 our school received an outstanding OFSTED report following our third inspection in eleven years. Subsequently, recognition in the Annual Report of Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Schools (2002/03) as a particularly successful school confirmed to us that our thoughts on our own performance were not unfounded. Following on from these achievements the school was awarded Specialist Status (Special Education Needs) in September 2005.
Below are a few extracts from our OFSTED Report.
"Penn Hall School is a good school with some outstanding features. The school has a very positive atmosphere, which encourages and motivates pupils to achieve as much as possible. As a result, pupils thoroughly enjoy their schooling." Ofsted Report (2006-2007)
"Relationships between staff and pupils are exceptionally good and contribute to
pupils being happy and confident. Many voice their appreciation of the school. One pupil summed up his feelings saying, ‘This school is perfect’." Ofsted
Report (2006-2007)
"The excellent care, support and guidance provided for pupils and the high quality residential provision contribute strongly to pupils’ outstanding personal development. Pupils make great gains in becoming more independent, mature and
well-rounded young people." Ofsted Report
(2006-2007)
"The leadership and management of the school are good. The headteacher and his supportive, committed senior management team work well together to secure improvements." Ofsted Report (2006-2007)
