Healthy Schools
In 2006 the whole school worked very hard to meet the requirements for the Healthy Schools Award. We were successful in all four areas; Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE), healthy eating, physical activity and emotional health and well being. ‘Healthy Schools’ status lasts for three years and so we are now going through the process of renewing ours. Wolverhampton schools are piloting a new award which is an enhanced model, involving the use of local and school data to influence two areas to focus on in particular.

The health and well being development group (HWDG) consists of Mr Parry, Mrs Handley, Mrs Sue Taylor and Mrs Cowdale.
The HWDG have held several meetings and by scrutinising the available data have selected the priorities of healthy eating and physical activity, and relationships – "yourself and others".
Our next task is to plan measurable changes that will reflect clear successes. These should indicate that we are on the way to meeting meaningful outcomes for our young people.
