Assessment and Accreditation
Assessment
is an important tool used by the staff at Penn Hall to clarify what a pupil
is doing, describe what a pupil has achieved and indicates the next
step and targets for the future. We are developing the
B Squared Recording and Profile System for all students in order to show
progression within the
P scales and National Curriculum.
National Assessment
This assessment is based on National Curriculum programmes of study. Staff assessment is on-going through the use of National Foundation for Education Research P Scales and the end of Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 Statutory Assessment Tests (SATs).

Progress File
The 14 – 19 Curriculum at Penn Hall School is reflected and recorded in a progress file. Pupils' achievements and experiences, both in and out of school, are recorded. Short terms goals are set and monitored and pupils' progress and development are tracked in an achievement diary that is produced in a partnership between pupils, parents and staff.
