Occupational Therapy

Correct seating positionOccupational Therapy (OT) aims to develop a child’s or young person’s ability to carry out daily living activities, thereby promoting independence and quality of life.

The Occupational Therapist at Penn Hall is a member of a community based team (Wolverhampton City NHS Primary Care Trust) who works alongside Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, nurses and school staff. The overall goal of OT is to help maximise motor and perceptual abilities and to develop as much independence as possible in activities of daily living. Special equipment may be recommended where appropriate.
